Description

OK people. This is fabulous. Without question one of our favorites. The artist, Don Drumm, is still practicing in Ohio where he was a successful educator and fine artist. His 1960s work was influenced by Jean Arp, Isamu Noguchi, Pablo Picasso, Curtis Jeré, and the master of brutalist decorative design Paul Evans. We’ve never seen this particular design. It might have been made in a very limited run.

His vintage works were all hand cast in aluminum which holds up amazingly well since it does not need polishing. It stands 12 inches tall and is 10 inches wide. There is a small casting defect in the bottom of one of the candle receptacles that does not affect display or function. It is signed in the mold “DRUMM.” Undated but similar to his other works from the 1950s and 1960s.
