Description
Bold graphic dot design adorns this stout clay vessel from Peru. The style is Op-art 1970s indeed. The design is intentionally rustic, with visible painted lines and distressed areas of color. It is 6.75 inches tall. Black, very dark brown, and ivory. Signed on the bottom “Valeriano Paz, Chulucanas, Peru.” The Chulucanas region in known for its fine folk pottery. Note: these are decorative, not functional vases as they do not hold water.
