Offered here is an original limited edition lithograph by David Lance Goines, 2009. It marks the 38th anniversary of Chez Panisse, the celebrated café and restaurant in Berkeley CA. This poster was printed in an edition of 717. This is not one of the 125 signed ones. It is 17-5/8″ x 24″ in a white wood frame with acid free mat that measures 25 x 32 inches overall. It’s important to note that this is not a 4-color process offset reproduction. It is the original 9-color lithograph on Starwhite Vicksburg Sirius 110# Cover. It depicts a Victory Garden.

“Alice Waters opened Chez Panisse fifty years ago as a place where friends and neighbors could gather together around the table, eat good food, and exchange ideas about politics, art, and culture. The restaurant served one set menu that changed daily, highlighting local ingredients that were ripe and in season.” — chezpanisse.com. Goines has enjoyed a friendship Waters since they were both teenagers. Every year Goines creates a Chez Panisse anniversary poster and has illustrated many Chez Panisse cookbooks. He also designed the logotype.
