22-212 Fernand Léger Limited Edition Serigraph

$1,900.00

A version of the 1951 artwork by Fernand Léger titled “Chevreuse Août” appeared in a portfolio of serigraph prints produced in 1954 by La Guilde internationale de la Gravure. This vintage original print on Arches art paper has an embossed authenticity stamp in the lower right. It is print number 382 from an edition of 1000, numbered by hand in pencil lower right. The title and artist’s initials are in the plate. The print shows age related toning and a bit of distress from handling. It displays very well. We float mounted it within an 8-ply acid-free mat then custom framed it in gloss white wood. The framed size is 23 x 30 inches.

Léger (1881-1955) was a French artist often referred to as one of the founders of Pop Art. He often depicted the intersection between nature and the industrialized world.
