22-412 Original Mary Cox 1950s Fishing Watercolor
$795.00
Offered here is a plein-air watercolor painting depicting three fisherman on a rock jetty in Maine. It was done in the 1950s by my maternal grandmother Mary Cleveland Bostwick Cox. Cox was a prolific artist who traveled extensively, always with her watercolor kit in hand. It is presented in a period-appropriate vintage frame. The 70-year-old artwork shows signs of age, as does the frame. 19×23 inches as framed. Unsigned. The 2nd photo is me with MCC circa 1973.
