Original cover from The New Yorker magazine from the August 7, 1965 issue. Framed in black wood with a 4-ply acid-free mat and gallery acrylic glazing. Overall size 14 x 18 inches. Artist: Ilonka Karasz (1896 – 1981). Karasz began painting covers for The New Yorker in 1924 and continued up to 1973. She had a total of 186 New Yorker covers across those six decades, many of them featuring lively vignettes of daily life viewed from above and drawn using unusual color combinations. (Wikipedia)
