Description

This great little bud vase or weed pot features a very mod overlapping triangle design. Pottery Craft of Compton, California made this glossy Mid-Century Modern vase. It is often attributed to Robert Maxwell but he did not actually make this one. The glaze alternates between gloss, satin, and matte. This design came in two color schemes—dark colors and light colors. This one is the lighter spectrum: burnt umber, black, sand, light gray, and dark gray.

The form is tapered with a jug style neck and mouth.

Handmade in the USA in the late 1960s or early 1970s. We have three. Two of them still retain the original foil label.

We like to group many different Pottery Craft pieces together—they make quite a statement.
