Angelo “Gillo” Dorfles (1910-2018) was born in Italy and taught aesthetics at the University of Trieste in Milan. Dorfles founded the Concrete Art Movement with Bruno Munari and other prominent Italian modern artists. This group published an important portfolio of artist’s silkscreens and lithographs in the late 1950s.

Offered here is an archival pigment print reproduction made from the original, then adjusted to remove creases and considerable age-toning. It measures 15¾ × 21½ framed. It is in a handmade white wood frame with scratch-resistant acrylic and a 100% rag white mat. It appeared in the 1955-1956 edition of Documenti d’Arte d’Oggi, published in Milan by Groupe Espace. Note: the signature is in the plate.
