Salt and oxides are used during the firing and cooling process meant to simulate the textured surface of excavated glass from ancient Rome. This piece is translucent near the bottom and nearly opaque at the neck. The color appears differently depending on the light. Signed on the bottom and in mint condition. Age unknown. 6 x 3 inches.
