Description
After the original 1925 painting by Jean Hans Arp “Mountain, Table, Anchors, Navel.” Offered here is a 1958 serigraph with cut-outs. It was published in 1958 for a Museum of Modern Art, NYC exhibition catalogue. We float mounted the print to show the three dimensional aspect of the cut-outs. The overall size with the custom bevel edge frame is 15½ × 18 inches. Archival quality framing components.
The original painting was first exhibited at MoMA in the 1936 show “Fantastic Art, Dada, Surrealism.” I’ve included a photo of the exhibition by Soichi Sunami.
