Original 22×30 inch watercolor paintings on paper by Shelter Island artist Leah Peeks. Peeks drew inspiration from the Washington D.C. Color School painters of the 1950s, especially Sam Gilliam, while she was living in Virginia. These artwork are distinctive because of the way the pattern responds to the viewer’s eye. A sense of movement, an awareness of the near-perfect design. They are float mounted on acid-free board in a deep gallery frame. Each work’s framed size is 32×40 inches. Sold as a pair.
