“Rocky Point” Paint By Number original oil painting on canvas created using kit number 15CC manufactured by Craft House and distributed in 1995. It has 45 different paint colors. The 27 x 21 inch white barn wood frame is new.
Paint by number kits are self-contained painting sets, designed to facilitate painting a pre-designed image. The user fills in a numbered section of the canvas, in a manner similar to a coloring book. The kits were invented in 1950 by Max S. Klein of Palmer Paint Co. in Detroit and Dan Robbins, a commercial artist.
