An original abstract watercolor and pastel painting on paper by Robert Berks. 18 x 24 inches unframed. This piece was acquired directly from his estate. It is not signed or dated. It is apparent he was influenced by Joan Mitchell’s paintings from the Mid-Century.

Robert Berks (1922 – 2011) was an American sculptor, industrial designer and planner. Bob was prolific and created numerous sketches, drawings, and paintings; often in service of sculpture and site-planning subjects. He worked for over 50 years in a converted schoolhouse in Orient on the North Fork of Long Island, NY.
