Description
This piece has to be seen in person. It is remarkably subtle how the dark blue and sepia interact. The ink has a subtle sheen to it and the deep intaglio print has a fine relief. Very well done. Circa 1960s. Elaine Landis practiced in NYC. She studied at the Art Students League and The Cooper Union. She has exhibited at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, The Brooklyn Museum, and has had several solo shows at galleries in NYC. This signed, undated work is an Artist’s Proof titled “Dichotomy.” It measures 19 x 22 in a new frame with a new acid-free mat.
