Description
Offered here is an excellent condition Space Age perfume bottle mouth blown with superb skill. Like many crystal art glass objet, the design has a small amount of green sommerso glass embedded in the mostly clear glass. This gives the piece a different color appearance depending on the view.
It is 6½ inches tall. It weights 1.9 lbs. / .90 kg. Very heavy for its size.
Most likely from Empoli, Italy, where the artisans specialized in this style of teardrop stopper. The pontil is polished flat. There are no chips or scratches. Unmarked. Circa 1960s-1970s.
