Description
This design is reminiscent of Ettore Sottsass, Memphis and other Post Modernist design groups. Glossy black and bright white art glass forming a stout shape with a turned mouth rim. It has a polished pontil and no mark. Heavy for its size at 1.6 lbs / .7 kg. It is oddly dark purple when viewed from the interior into bright light. It is 5 inches tall. It has a few glassblowing bubbles that are not flaws. No chips or scratches. A great addition to a Post Modern glass collection. Circa 1980s Italy.
