This form was popularized in the late 1950s by the famous Murano, Italy maker Mandruzzato. This one is a beauty. It is smaller side as these go. It is square at the mouth then expands into a multi-sided block cut into faceted planes. This design catches the light thereby appearing differently depending on the setting. It’s made using the sommerso technique of layering different colors of glass during the glassblowing process.
