Description
A truly stunning design by Annemarie Davidson, known for her Southern Californian modernist freeform abstract copper enamels. She was influenced by noted enamelists Curtis Tann, Doris Hall, and Mary Sharp. Davidson “is responsible for some of the finest enamels in the second half of the 20th Century.” This example is 7.5 inches wide. It had a small piece of the top layer of the enamel missing along one edge. It is not very deep though and feels smooth to the touch. Her logo is on the back. Her work is in museums and private collections worldwide. Undated Mid-Century Modern piece.
