Description
A terrific impressionistic oil painting of a group of wine bottle shaped vessels. Thick impasto brushwork. Signed or marked on the back “Caryl Hammerich 1965 – 1975.” We removed it from its original frame and float mounted it in a new whitewashed hardwood frame with a black interior. This did reveal some missing paint along the edge that had been previously covered by the frame. Additionally there is a one-inch slit in the painting midsection that was repaired lightly with acid free linen tape. It looks fine. 15 × 32 inches.
