Tricorn Murano ashtray in butterscotch cased glass featuring fine millefiori. The glass maker creates the flowers from thin slices of multi-color canes, then suspends the slices in the cased glass before it solidifies. That’s why each one is slightly different. The technique dates back to 1st century B.C. Rome. 11 inches across. 3.1 lbs. Unmarked.
