Rosemonde Nairac designed this exuberant Op Art vase for Rosenthal Studio-Linie. Hand made in Germany. This example is in matte bisque finish black porcelain “Porcelaine noire” — a re-issue of the classic 1960s Rosenthal white bisque porcelain design to celebrate a Rosenthal anniversary. The black porcelain is extremely hard to manufacture so it was used to showcase the skill of their craftsmen. Circa 1990s. 5½ inches tall. Perfect condition. Signed in the maker’s mark stamp.
