Great wheel thrown stoneware bowl with an ink blot fat lava glaze design in black over brown and an overall tan pebble texture. 7 wide, 4.5 inches tall. Signed by Joseph Mitrani on the bottom. Mitrani is the proprietor of Greenport Pottery. This is a discontinued style. No cracks or chips. Royal Haeger did a similar commercially produced design called “Earth Wrap.” Lapid Israel has a similar ink blot design.
