Great wheel thrown stoneware globe vase with an ink blot fat lava glaze design black over brown and an overall tan pebble texture. 8 inches tall. Signed by Joseph Mitrani on the bottom. Mitrani is the proprietor of Greenport Pottery. This is a discontinued style. No cracks or chips. Royal Haeger did a similar commercially produced design called “Earth Wrap.”
