Offered here is the original lithograph that appeared in the 1955-1956 edition of Documenti d’Arte d’Oggi, published in Milan by Groupe Espace. Note: the signature is in the plate. It measures 19 x 19 inches framed. It is matted in 8-ply acid-free board and framed in minimalist matte black aluminum with a gallery acrylic face.
Angelo “Gillo” Dorfles (1910-2018) was born in Italy and taught aesthetics at the University of Trieste in Milan. Dorfles founded the Concrete Art Movement with Bruno Munari and other prominent Italian modern artists. This group published an important portfolio of artist’s silkscreens and lithographs in the late 1950s.
