Offered here is the original lithograph that appeared in the 1956 edition of Documenti d’Arte d’Oggi, published in Milan by Groupe Espace. Note: the signature is in the plate. It measures 19 x 19 inches framed. It is matted in 8-ply acid-free board and framed in minimalist matte black aluminum with a gallery acrylic face.
Jung was born in Sicily and exhibited in Milan. She never quite broke into the mainstream art world. As one of the few female artists in Mid-Century Italian modern art S. V. Jung (1917-2005) was a member of the innovative Concrete Art Movement. This group published an important portfolio of artist’s silkscreens and lithographs in the late 1950s.
