Description
West German pottery is fabulous. Bold, colorful glazes and utilitarian forms—a great combination. This example is from Bay Keramik, hand painted and glazed in bright orange-red with a light gray drip glaze called fat lava. The dark edge of the glaze drip had bubbles like actual lava. Very nice effect. No two vases are identical. 8½ inches tall and in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or scratches—in fact, the original paper label is still intact.
