Hand-made studio pottery from Sweden by Mari Simmulson while she worked for Upsala-Ekeby. It’s from her line called “Peru.” The overall height is 5 inches. It features sgraffito designs carved into earthenware. In production from 1953–1966.
Mari Simmulson (Estonian, 1911-2000) was a sculptor, a ceramist, and a painter. She is best known for her tribal themed ceramics in black clay produced during her 23-year tenure at Upsala-Ekeby AB, Sweden.
