Large bold porcelain serving platter in the form labeled “spear” in the “Delphis” pattern for Poole Pottery, England. Vivid orange background with colorful hand-painted abstract abstract design in a glossy glaze. Marked on the white underside. Produced in the early 1970s. It is in very good condition, no chips or cracks. 12 inches wide. Poole pioneered the application of this glaze which bleeds from one color into the next—therefore each hand-painted piece by Poole is unique.
