Description
Original watercolor painting on paper by Shelter Island artist Leah Peeks. Peeks drew inspiration from the Washington D.C. Color School painters of the 1950s, especially Sam Gilliam, while she was living in Virginia. This artwork is distinctive because of the way the pattern responds to the viewer’s eye. A sense of movement, an awareness of the near-perfect design.
It will be float framed in a minimalist matte wood frame faced with gallery acrylic glazing The overall framed size will be 30×38 inches. You can pick the color of the frame which will be made to order. Note: this painting may be hung either vertically or horizontally. These paintings pair well so view our other Peeks offerings. She’s a gallery best-seller.
