Description
Original 6×7 inch watercolor painting on paper by Shelter Island artist Leah Peeks. Peeks drew inspiration from the Washington D.C. Color School painters of the 1950s, especially Sam Gilliam, while she was living in Virginia. This artwork is distinctive because of the way the pattern responds to the viewer’s eye. A sense of movement, an awareness of the near-perfect design. It is framed in a minimalist gray wood frame faced with gallery glass glazing. The overall framed size is 14×17 inches. Note: this painting may be hung either vertically or horizontally. These paintings pair well so view our other Peeks offerings. She’s a gallery best-seller.
