Description
Superb amber, blue, and clear faceted block art glass in the style of Flavio Poli for Seguso. It’s hard to describe the beautiful way light refracts through this form. It is round in shape with flat sides. The two-color sommerso technique glass layers are most visible at the juncture of the round and the flat surfaces. It would function well as a bud vase, a trinket holder, a pencil holder, a Q-Tip holder, a paper weight, or a candle holder— but we consider it a glass art sculpture. This form was used originally used to hold cigarettes or matchsticks. A gallery favorite when we can find them. 4 inches tall. A contemporary reproduction with a few bubbles inside the glass.
