So good. “Pepita” earthenware taper candle holders or small bud vases with incised white gloss glazed diamond pattern designed by Ingrid Atterberg for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, 1954-1956. Model #2170, 3¾ inches tall. Only sold as a pair.
Ingrid Atterberg (1920-2008) was one of the leading designer for the Upsala-Ekeby factory in the 1950s and 1960s. Atterberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Her unique ceramics are highly collectible.
Upsala-Ekeby was founded in 1885. The factory closed in 1978.
