Description
Offered here is a Machine Age wooden foundry mold (1877-1920) in the shape of a spoked wheel. These types of molds were pressed into sand, removed, then molten metal was poured into the resulting void to create architectural elements, machine parts, and other mass manufactured metal objects. 16 inch diameter and quite heavy. Hang on the wall or display as a sculpture, and it works from either sides.
