Description
An exuberant 1960s abstract op-art patterned serving bowl in varying tones of satin gold leaf. White glossy porcelain sides. Oval in shape 8×6 inches. Designed by the Danish artist Bjørn Wiinblad for the German maker Rosenthal in their Studio-Linie of porcelains from the Mid-Century. There is a small area of discoloration in the gold area, hardly noticeable. This style is often referred to as Art Nouveau Revival or Biba, after the eponymous 1960s London retailer.
