22-122 Albers “Homage to the Square: Ascending”
Josef Albers spent his adult life painting, documenting and writing about color in all of its variety and surprises. A work from his “Homage to the Square” series is in most modern art museums. Offered here is an offset reproduction of the original painting “Homage to the Square: Ascending” (1953) at a reduced size. It was printed in Germany on 100 lb. wove finish uncoated lithographic paper by Walther König. It is in a white double mat and a slim white wood frame that measures 14 × 14 inches with gallery glass glazing.
