22-142 After Saul Steinberg “Summer”

This rare vintage print is a page from the publication Derrière le Miroir that featured artwork by American artist Saul Steinberg to promote a 1966 exhibition of his work in Paris by Galerie Maeght. Signed in the plate original vintage offset litho print, not a contemporary reproduction. Framed in ornate gold gilt wood with a generous 8-ply acid-free mat and gallery acrylic glazing. Overall size 15 × 21 inches. This drawing was done in 1965 and appeared in The New Yorker magazine and The Inspector, a collection of Steinberg drawings. The original artwork is in the collection of the Yale University Art Gallery.
