Albert Johannsen (1890–1975) was a German Impressionist painter. He often depicted rural scenes and landscapes in Germany and nearby Denmark. This coastal oil painting has a serene sky of soft purple and blue clouds above the sea. It dates from the Mid-Century, about 1950 based on his other works that we’ve seen. Signed lower right. 22×18 inches as framed in silver leaf. Vintage frame as is, with a small bit of missing silver. Priced accordingly.
