Original acrylic on linen painting by Michael Aron titled “Grey Gray.” Albers showed that colors change when depending on their respective adjacencies. This painting illustrates how geometric hard edges and contrasting colors affect the background gray, which is a single solid color. Interesting. 26×30 inches as framed in gold leaf over wood. Michael Aron studied art and design at the Wooster School in Ridgefield, CT; The Academy for Fine Art and Design in Genk, Belgium; Syracuse University; and got his BFA from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in NYC.
