22-394 Hubbard Original Exhibition Poster
$425.00
Hard to believe this poster survived. It is an advertising placard promoting an exhibit by Whitney M. Hubbard. Hubbard spent his life painting plein air landscapes and maritime scenes of Greenport (where Ray New York gallery is located.) He died in 1965. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Brooklyn Museum. This 14 x 22 letterpress poster was printed from wood type. You can feel the impression the letters made into the soft board. It is 17 × 25 inches as framed in matte black wood with gallery acrylic face. Missing a corner. Undated.
