$475.00
“Trois baigneuses, 1920” is a sketch by Pablo Picasso (Spanish) who was 39 at the time. Offered here is a vintage offset lithograph printed in 1979 by Nouvelles Images, France. 20×17 inches as framed in matte white wood.
This sketch was done at Juan-les-Pins, France. He spent lots of time on the beach in the years after WWI ended and the Roaring Twenties began. He’d recently married Olga Khokhlova, a ballerina with Sergei Diaghilev’s troupe.
He also did many paintings, etchings, and line drawings entitled “Three Bathers,” many of which are at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In fact, his catalog raisonné has a large number of works with the title “Three Bathers.”
