23-224 Milton Glaser “Big Nudes” 1968 Poster
$2,500.00
Offered here is original 1968 “Big Nudes” exhibit poster designed by Milton Glaser for the Visual Arts Gallery in NY City. This gallery was part of the School of Visual Arts. One of my favorite Glaser artworks. It measures 24½ × 37¼ inches. It has been rolled for decades so it will need to be dry mounted or linen backed. No damage aside from a very small tear on the bottom edge. If properly mounted, matted, and framed this poster will look new. This price is for a FRAMED poster.
This design is brilliant. A simple edge effect perfectly illustrates the “big” of “Big Nudes.” Superb restrained Trade Gothic Bold typography, too.
“Milton Glaser (1929–2020) was an American graphic designer. In 1954, he co-founded Push Pin Studios, co-founded New York magazine with Clay Felker, and established Milton Glaser, Inc. He received the National Medal of the Arts award from President Barack Obama in 2009 and was the first graphic designer to receive this award.” —Wikipedia
