It features a debossed paper fabricator’s stamp “DEPOSE SIHL SUPERBUS 260 M.” Germany-based Sihl produced fine art paper in the 1970s, often used by top fine artists for their silkscreen prints. Today, they make paper for digital printing.
The Dutch artist Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) is known for being one of the pioneers of 20th-century abstract art, as he changed his artistic direction from figurative painting to an increasingly abstract style, until he reached a point where his artistic vocabulary was reduced to simple geometric elements.
