$425.00
Offered here is a 1962 original exhibition poster for a group show at the Galerie Maeght in Paris. The title “Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider)” is borrowed from the almanac published by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc in 1912. This poster features an excellent reproduction of a woodcut titled “Lyrical (Lyrisches)” (plate, folio 9) from the illustrated book “Klänge” (Sounds) by Kandinsky. There’s a copy of “Klänge” in MoMA’s permanent collection.
The poster measures 20 x 29 inches. Soft creasing from having been rolled that can be eliminated if mounted. Visible signs of wear around the edges that can be obscured with a mat once framed. It is currently unframed. This is the original poster, not a reproduction.
