We bought this silverplate serving bowl in the 1970s. It is in the style of 1920s Wiener Werstätte / Jugenstijl / Secessionist designs popularized by Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser. There are similar examples in the Neue Galerie in New York—they specialize in decorative and fine art from Austria. This one has no maker’s marks. Date unknown. It is a bit worn and has a few minor dents. Displays extremely well. It polishes to a dull sheen. 5 inches.
