24-074KB Blenko 2005 Architectural Floor Vase 31 inches

Designed by Wayne Husted for Blenko. Original design released in 1961 – catalog number 6138. The design was slightly refined and re-released in 2003 – catalog number 3203. Acid-etched on the bottom “Blenko 2005.” Excellent condition with a one dimpled bubble in the glass. Missing the stopper. 31 inches tall. Clear red or ruby color. Hard to find.

My glassblower friends are amazed by the size and weight of this piece. It took several artisans working as a team to produce it.

Blenko Glass Company has been a family owned and operated company since 1893. It has been located in Milton, WV since 1921, and still makes blown glass vessels today.
