24-107 Hand-Carved Acrobat High Relief Sculpture

A gallery favorite. Offered here is a hand-carved high relief wall sculpture depicting acrobats in various poses. Signed on the front A. Luiz, and marked on the back Janeiro 1974. This composition borrows heavily from the early 20th Century art movements Vorticism, Cubism, and Futurism. It has been well maintained. It looks like a new coat of varnish has been applied to the top surface that adds a nice matte/gloss effect when viewed in side light. There is one small edge missing that is hardly noticeable. The size is 24 × 10 inches. It projects off of the wall about two inches.
