A gallery favorite: a two-color monotype entitled “Perfect Storm” by Bruce J. Bloom. 28 × 22 inches, currently unframed. One-of-a-kind lithograph on 2-ply warm white Arches 100% rag paper with a deckle edge. Deep plate edge deboss. Optional frame is additional. Allow two weeks.

His work is heavily influenced by the Mid-Century New York Abstract Expressionists and Action Painters such as Cy Twombly, Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, and Jackson Pollack. Bloom (1935-2019) had a long career in advertising before turning his attention to painting and printmaking. He was a resident of the North Fork of Long Island, not far from our gallery. His work was varied, including abstract and figurative subjects. One commonality is a superb understanding of color and composition, as well as an expert technique and high quality materials. We acquired his work directly from the estate.
