24-136 Bloom Red and Yellow Dancing Monotype 23 x 27

$825.00

Offered here is a marvelous multi-color monotype entitled “Red and Yellow Dancing” by Bruce J. Bloom. 23 × 27 inches, as framed in matte white wood with an acid-free mat and gallery acrylic face. One-of-a-kind monotype on 2-ply bright white wove BFK Rives, France 100% rag paper.

Bloom’s work is heavily influenced by the Mid-Century New York Abstract Expressionists and Action Painters such as Cy Twombly, Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, and Jackson Pollack. Bloom (1935-2019) had a long career in advertising before turning his attention to painting and printmaking.

He was a resident of the North Fork of Long Island, not far from our gallery. His work was varied, including abstract and figurative subjects. One commonality is a superb understanding of color and composition, as well as an expert technique and high quality materials. We acquired his work directly from the estate.
