24-146 Bruce J. Bloom Monochrome Print 6 x 9
$275.00
Expert use of black and white tonal range in this monotype on paper by Bruce J. Bloom. Circa early 2000s. It measures 6 × 9 inches. It can be oriented vertically or horizontally.
Bloom’s work is heavily influenced by the Mid-Century New York Abstract Expressionists and Action Painters such as Cy Twombly, Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, and Jackson Pollack. This series may have been influenced by Eduardo Chillida.
Bloom (1935-2019) had a long career in advertising before turning his attention to painting and printmaking. He was a resident of the North Fork of Long Island, not far from our gallery. His work was varied, including abstract and figurative subjects. One commonality is a superb understanding of color and composition, as well as an expert technique and high quality materials. We acquired his work directly from the estate.
