24-156 Bruce J. Bloom Abstract Painting 20 x 20

$725.00

Red and yellow acrylic on Arches paper by Bruce J. Bloom. Circa early 2000s. It measures 20 × 20 inches as framed in matte black wood with a gallery acrylic face and a double-thick 8-ply acid-free mat. It can be oriented vertically or horizontally.

Bloom’s work is heavily influenced by the Mid-Century New York Abstract Expressionists and Action Painters such as Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, and Jackson Pollack.

Bloom (1935-2019) had a long career in advertising before turning his attention to painting and printmaking. He was a resident of the North Fork of Long Island, not far from our gallery. His work was varied, including abstract and figurative subjects. One commonality is a superb understanding of color and composition, as well as an expert technique and high quality materials. We acquired his work directly from the estate.
